Pottery for Ages 9-12

This class will experiment with the various ways to create functional pottery that can be used in the kitchen or home. Students will learn about vessel forms, including cups, bowls, plates, and vases. Techniques will include various handbuilding techniques such as slab and slumps, pinching, and coil building. Students will also get the chance to experiment with the potters' wheel. Emphasis will be on functionality, and a foundation in stable building and connecting techniques.

All camps for kids and teens include materials, tools and firing fees. Final glazed projects available for pickup 2-3 weeks after last class meeting.
