Prairie and sagebrush birds are the focus of a Five Valleys Audubon trip to the Dillon area, including Melrose, Bannack, and Clark Canyon Reservoir June 3-4. Target birds include Rock and Canyon Wrens, Yellow-breasted Chat, Sage Thrasher, Loggerhead Shrike, and Sagebrush Sparrow, among others. Bring lunches for both days and sunscreen; many of the areas birded are not shaded. Participants are responsible for their own accommodations; the group will stay at the the Super 8 in Dillon. There is a $10 charge per participant on multi-day field trips.
