This show features over 25 art works by Missoula’s Teresa Jacobs, a multimedia artist who has been creating art quilts for over three decades. Jacobs - who has also been active in education and advocacy work with local nonprofits - describes a recent shift in her focus: “My art is not separate from my studies and activism, but has been made to take a back seat too often with so much turmoil in the world. Now, the artist part of me is steering the tandem bike again, while the activist part of me gets to pedal in the back, energizing and informing the art. It’s a better balance. And hearing other’s reactions to my work, and what they wonder about, is part of the art process for me.”


The art quilts will be on display through the end of June.
