For millennia, thread and textile processes have inspired metaphors for human connection. More recently, the Slow Fiber movement has emphasized ties between thoughtful making and the integrity of materials. Adults 17 are invited to bring their mending, creative projects, and curiosity to this informal, non-instructional DIY gathering dedicated to community, conversation, and creative reuse. Each month, MAM Registrar and artist Jennifer Reifsneider will bring a special textile artwork out of the collection vault to enrich the evening's exchange.
