Python and Digital Art for Middle Schoolers

Description:
Unleash the artful coder in you! Middle school students can come to this creative workshop that meets on Tuesday nights in the Computer Classroom where they will learn how to code in the Python programming language using the Python turtle module. During the workshop, you will learn simple Python commands to move a virtual turtle to draw anything your heart desires. Make it your own by remixing your Python art with GIMP open source image editor. No previous coding or art experience required. Please bring a flash drive with you to this workshop. This class is open to middle school students in grades 6 through 8. Space is limited to 5 students and online registration is required.
