This May, E3 is pleased to present the work of Keith Vandepol with "Some New Paintings". Highly influenced by America's rebels of the art world in the New York School of the mid 20th century, but much more interested in the attitude than the image, Keith is focused on the process of making an image: "Painters seem to find material for their pictures everywhere we look, but I rely on a small camera as a memory aid. Armed with these images, I often combine elements from several photos to make a picture to consolidate these memories. Often, these pastiches lead to more paintings in a series based on the original concept. Then the focus is to edit those pictures to present a more refined piece."
