Spring Concert
 
Missoula, MT (Apr 19, 2012) – The Missoula Community Chorus is pleased to present its
annual Spring concert, titled “Beautiful Dreamer” Friday April 27th at 7:30 PM led by Dr. Tod
Trimble. Our spring concert features a variety of choral work from the 19th and 20th century.
From the lighthearted Jambalaya and I’m Goin’ to Sing to the romantic American classics
When I Fall in Love and Beautiful Dreamer, to 19th century gems like Fauré’s Cantique de Jean
Racine and Brahms’ Da Untem im Talle and In Stiller Nacht . For this concert we welcome
back a special guest Dr. Ron Wilcott, MCC’s previous conductor as he returns to conduct
David Dickau’s A Hope Carol commissioned by the Community Chorus last year for our 10th
Anniversary. There will be a reception to follow the concert open to everyone.
 
About the Missoula Community Chorus:
The Community Chorus has been “Inspiring Community Through Music” for over 10 years now.
The Missoula Community Chorus provides singers of all ages and abilities an opportunity to
sing in a chorus without an audition. In addition to singing a wide variety of great choral music
culminating in our semi-annual performances in the Winter and Spring we are involved in many
community outreach initiatives throughout the year such as our community event this past
October at the Wilma The Sound of Music Sing-Along. The larger choir consists of around 80
singers and we also feature a smaller auditioned ensemble the Chamber Chorale that performs
around Missoula for retirement centers and other organizations. Our music director Dr. Tod
Trimble, who joined the organization last year, has worked as a conductor and educator across
the United States touring his choirs around the country and abroad. The choir is accompanied
by Alice Williams. Alice has served as organist for the University Congregational Church for
over 25 years and often accompanies local musicians. For more information on the chorus
