Veritas Forum: Role of Religion in Politics Description:
The Veritas Forum is a free dialogue event for the UM campus students, faculty, and Missoula community that will bring together a panel of 3 highly qualified speakers to address the current role of religion in politics through their academic and personal insight. The speakers for the forum include, Steven Harris, the Director of Advocacy for the Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission in Washington D.C., Ruth Vanita, Professor and Director of Global Humanities & Religions at UM, and, Anthony Johnstone, Associate Professor of Alexander Blewett III School of Law at UM. Discussion will be moderated by Soazig Le Bihan, Associate Professor of Philosophy at UM. Following discussion will be time for public comment and questions. Veritas forums have been held on campuses across North America and Europe since the first forum at Harvard University in 1992. Event is hosted by the Honors Student Association at the University of Montana.
