Our Eat & Run cooking class series, presented in conjunction with Run Wild Missoula and the Missoula Marathon, continues with this evening's discussion of how athletes can best fuel their bodies as they ready for competition. After an optional 30-minute run/walk on the pedestrian trail near GFS, we'll gather in the GFS cooking classroom where Brent Ruby, Director of the Montana Center for Work Physiology & Exercise Metabolism at the University of Montana, will share his expertise. Brent will talk about food's role in the body's recovery after a stretch of big training days and share strategies for staying fueled during competitions and during key training sessions.
