UN Lecture: Climate Change's Effects on Human Health Description:
This Sunday the United Nations Association Montana Chapter has invited Jennipha-Lauren Nielsen UN Advocate to come present "Climate Change's Effects on Human Health"
Over the last 50 years, human activities - have released sufficient quantities of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases to trap additional heat in the lower atmosphere that affect the global climate and patterns of infection. Climatic conditions strongly affect water-borne diseases and diseases transmitted through insects, snails & other cold blooded animals. Children - in particular are among the most vulnerable to the resulting health risks and will be exposed longer to the health consequences. The health effects are expected to be more severe for elderly people and people with pre-existing medical conditions. Learn how to spot the signs and protect your loved ones.
