Community Event to Protect the Rattlesnake NRA
4:00 PM (America/Denver)
Ten Spoons Vineyard & Winery
Description:
JOIN IN A COMMUNITY EVENT TO PROTECT THE RATTLESNAKE NATIONAL RECREATION AREA!

The Rattlesnake, Missoula's backyard Wilderness and recreation area, is threatened by a Forest Service proposal to commercially log, burn or thin large portions of the lower Rattlesnake National Recreation Area (NRA). Almost everyone who lives in or near the Missoula valley recognizes the outstanding watershed, wildlife, scenic, and recreational values of the Rattlesnake, but now the Rattlesnake needs all of us to speak out to protect it.

Friends of the Rattlesnake, Montana Sierra Club, Wilderness Watch, and WildWest Institute are sponsoring a Community gathering where you can learn more about the Forest Service's proposal to log, thin and burn the Rattlesnake. It will be an opportunity to tell the Forest Service how you feel about its plans (materials will be provided for writing and submitting your comments), and to join your friends and neighbors for a local wine tasting, too!
