The Good Food Store presents our Earth Day FREE screening of the new documentary Seeds of Time along with a very special animated film The Man Who Planted Trees.

The first 100 movie-goers will receive a free bare-root tree sapling from GFS and our friends at Missoula's urban forestry program (who will be here to share advice for successful planting).

A perfect storm is brewing as agriculture pioneer Cary Fowler races against time to protect the future of our food. The story of one shepherd's long and successful singlehanded effort to re-forest a desolate valley, The Man Who Planted Trees is a timeless eco-fable about what one person can do to restore the earth. The hero of the story, Elzeard Bouffier, spent his life planting one hundred acorns a day in a desolate, barren section of Provence in the south of France. The result was a total transformation of the landscape-from one devoid of life, with miserable, contentious inhabitants, to one filled with the scent of flowers, the songs of birds, and fresh, flowing water.
