Montana Tales & Other Bad Ass Business
7:00 PM (America/Denver)
University of Montana
Description:
“Montana Tales & Other Bad Ass Business” by Troy Evans will present an intimate portrait of one actor’s storied career from Montana to Hollywood. For one night only, Troy Evans will perform a show to benefit Entertainment Management at The University of Montana (UMEM).

Born in Missoula, Montana, actor Troy Evans’ career spans 40 years in theatre, 50 movies, and 400 TV episodes.  In this performance, Troy tells how his experience as an Infantryman in Viet Nam, a bar owner in Montana, and an inmate of both Montana State Prison and the VA Mental Hospital in Sheridan, Wyoming have shaped and colored his career. His vivid portraits of folks he has met along this rough road make this "autobiography told by ghosts" a sensational, funny and touching evening.

“Montana Tales & Other Bad Ass Business” by Troy Evans will be performed in the Masquer Theatre in the Performing Arts and Radio-Television (PART) building on campus in Missoula, Montana. Doors will open at 6 PM on Sunday, April 22, 2012 with curtain at 7 PM.

Tickets are $12 in advance and $15 at the door. A reception immediately following the performance, hosted by UMEM, is included in a $25 ticket.

Tickets for this unique performance are available at the UMARTS Box Office or the UMEM office. The UMARTS Box Office is located in lobby of the PART building and can be reached at 406.243.4581. The UMEM office is located in the basement of the Gallagher Business Building in room L35B. Tickets may be ordered by emailing entmgt@business.umt.edu<mailto:entmgt@business.umtn.edu> or calling 406.243.4869.

Proceeds from the evening will benefit UMEM. For over 10 years, this world-class academic program has provided students of The University of Montana insight into the elusive world of entertainment business. Industry experts and professionals volunteer their time to travel to Missoula in order to provide real-world, real-time education to students of all majors at UM. Students develop a professional network while attending classes and gain experience by participating in projects outside of the classroom.
