Ashley McKee was challenged by a coworker to take a photo a day. Little did she know this challenge would lead her to being a published author. Missoula Rabble, a book of portraits and small blurbs about strangers in Missoula, was published in September 2014. McKee will talk about how this project evolved into a media sensation, her experiences talking with strangers on the streets of Missoula, and capturing the human condition. McKee graduated in 2008 from the University of Montana with an MFA in photojournalism. She has mainly freelanced since she graduated as well as interned at The Missoulian and The Oklahoman.
