IWFF: Grizzly Country & Rise of Black Wolf Description:
Grizzly Country
52 minutes, Directed by Bob Landis, US
Grizzly bears have a secret life not easily visible to the casual visitor or observer. This document reveals some of the most astonishing behavior of these great bears, recorded over a ten year period, allowing us to recognize some of the bears individually, such as Scarface, Swimmer, and Quad Mom.

The Rise of Black Wolf
45 minutes, Directed by Bob Landis, US
THE RISE OF BLACK WOLF is the sequel to IN THE VALLEY OF THE WOLVES. It follows wolf 302 as he attempts to become a member of the Druid Peak Pack, an endeavor which involves many close encounters with his larger rival wolf 21. THE RISE OF BLACK WOLF won the best animal behavior category at the 34th IWFF. It also has the distinction of being viewed by more people than any other National Geographic wolf film. Producer Bob Landis considers it the best story of any of his films done with National Geographic Television.
