The World Affairs Council of Montana, will sponsor a community Distinguished Speaker Lecture to be held on April 12, 2012 in the University Ballroom located in The University of Montana's University Center. Dr. Haleh Esfandiari, Director of the Middle East Program at the Woodrow Wilson Center for International Scholars will discuss current Iranian policy and the role of women in society in her lecture Iran: Fractured Leadership, Fractured Foreign Policy.


Dr. Esfandiari will be addressing the community on Thursday, April 12th 2012 at 7:30 p.m. in the University Ballroom in the University Center. Copies of My Prison, My Home: One Women's Story of Captivity will be available for purchase during a book signing that will take place at the close of the community lecture. The program admission fee is free for Council members and students and $5 for non-members. In addition, Esfandiari has a radio interview scheduled with Sally Mauk of Montana Public Radio (KUFM) on April 12th at 11:30 am.
