COMPUTER CLASSES:
MPL offers a computer lab dedicated to free computer training, including classes on basic computer and internet use, downloading and editing digital photos, and more. Seating is limited as we have only six computer stations available, so call for a spot today. For more information call 721-BOOK (2665).
Have an idea for a topic? Tell us what classes you would like to see offered. If you would like to volunteer to teach a class on a regular or occasional basis call Marje at 721-BOOK (2665).

04 Wednesday 12:30-1:30 - Files and Folders
What is a flash drive and how do I use it?  Where did the document go that I just saved?  Get organized with all the basics of creating, renaming, moving and deleting files and folders. Learn about the various ways to store files (hard drive, removable devices, CDs, and floppies).
04 Wednesday 6:00-7:00 - Computer Fundamentals
Learn about the parts of the computer (hardware), how to turn it on and off; managing your desktop and how to open programs. No experience necessary.
09 Monday 6:00-7:00 - Beginning Word
An introduction to word processing including how to create a document, manipulate the text and font, use templates and a few fun tricks
11 Wednesday 12:30-1:30 - Facebook - I'm a Beginner!
Become familiar with social networking sites such as Facebook, how to set up an account.  This class is for those who do not have an account or are brand new to Facebook.

Become familiar with Facebook; for those that have accounts but need to become more familiar with their settings and how to use it.  Not for those that need to set up accounts.

Learn about our database of the month – Freegal.  Users may download up to 2 titles/week and it’s permanent and free.

30 Monday 6:00-7:00 - Excel
An introduction to the basic features of Microsoft Excel, a spreadsheet program designed for the Windows environment. Topics include: entering data & formulas and assumes the student has some experience with Windows and using a mouse. This popular class is normally offered on Wednesday afternoons.  We are pleased to offer it on this Monday evening at 6 pm for those that are not normally able to make a lunchtime class.
