 KNOW MONTANA SPEAKER SERIES OFFERED 
BY MPL FOUNDATION—STARTS IN MARCH! 
The Missoula Public Library Foundaon is very pleased 
to announce the debut of its  own signature speaking 
series Know Montana. Modeled aer a similar success
program held by the library a few years ago, Know Montana will feature a different speaker each month for a 
year—all focusing on a different aspect of our fine state. 
We’ll be kicking off the series this month; the first three 
months of speakers have been scheduled. 
 
Monday, March 19, 6:30 p.m. “A Prophet in Exile: Louis 
Riels’ Sojourn in Montana” presented by Helena scholar 
Stephen Maly.  
 
Monday, April 2, 6:30 p.m. “My Soul is in Montana” presented by Sheryl Noethe, Montana’s Poet Laureate. 
 
Saturday, May 5, 3:00 p.m. “Montana Herbs: A Natural 
Medicine Chest” presented by Elaine Sheff of Meadowsweet Herbs. 
 
All Know Montana presentaons will take place in the 
library’s large meeng room, are both open to the public 
and are free. Get to know your awesome state!
