Telluride Mountainfilm on Tour Description:
Mountainfilm on Tour brings a selection of culturally rich, adventure-packed and incredibly inspiring documentary films curated from the Mountainfilm festival held every Memorial Day weekend in Telluride, Colorado. The tour will soon visit Missoula, MT at the Roxy Theater, on Wednesday, March 7 with films that will explore the themes connected to Mountainfilm’s mission: using the power of film, art and ideas to inspire audiences to create a better world.

A Mountainfilm presenter will guide the audience through the program providing insight on the films, filmmakers and subjects.

The show kicks off at 7:00pm with doors opening at 6:00pm for drinks and raffle. Tickets for Mountainfilm on Tour in Missoula go on sale February 14 and can be purchased at www.theroxytheater.org or at the Roxy Box Office. Tickets will also be available the day of the event at the Theater box office. The cost for the show is $15 per adult and $11 per child or student. Mountainfilm Festival
Mountainfilm began in 1979 and is one of America’s longest-running film festivals. The festival is best described by one word: inspiring. In addition to screening leading independent documentary films from around the world, the festival includes a full-day symposium on a contemporary issues, art and photography exhibits, early morning coffee talks, outdoor programs, a book-signing party, an ice cream social, student programs and a closing picnic/awards ceremony. Presentations and panels are scheduled throughout the weekend event with a wide diversity of special guests, ranging from artists to adventurers and academics to activists. Selway-Bitterroot Frank Church Foundation
Selway-Bitterroot Frank Church Foundation, established in 2006, is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization dedicated to on-the-ground stewardship of the Frank Church River of No Return Wilderness, Selway-Bitterroot Wilderness and surrounding wildlands. Projects include trail maintenance, invasive weed eradication, inventory and mapping, restoration, trash removal, wilderness education, and training future wilderness leaders. www.selwaybitterroot.org
