Tracy Kidder graduated from Harvard and studied at the University of Iowa. He has won the Pulitzer Prize, the National Book Award, the Robert F. Kennedy Award, and many other literary prizes. The author of "Strength in What Remains," "My Detachment," "Mountains Beyond Mountains," "Home Town," "Among Schoolchildren," "Old Friends," "House," and "The Soul of a New Machine," Kidder lives in Massachusetts and Maine. Kidder gives a nonfiction craft lecture on how and why he chooses his writing subjects on Friday, March 3, 12:00 - 12:50 pm, Gallagher Business Building 123. He also reads nonfiction that evening, 7 pm, in the Dell Brown Room of Turner Hall. University of Montana campus.
