Description:
THE CAROUSEL - 12 min
In the small town of Binghamton, New York, there spins a 1925 carousel that once inspired Rod Serling and has since become a portal into...the Twilight Zone.

CREE CODE TALKER - 14 min
During the Second World War, the Allied Forces utilized Indigenous language speakers to transmit coded messages that could not be broken. The contributions of Charles "Checker" Tomkins are revealed in this insightful look into how the Cree language was used as a vital secret weapon in combat.

BEFORE THE WAVE - 24 min
BEFORE THE WAVE is a vibrant and poetic short documentary created with the Moken, a stateless tribe of sea nomads on the Andaman Sea. The community was converted to Christianity by missionaries after the 2005 Tsunami. The film will leave audiences feeling as though they've slipped away to some magical forgotten sea flotilla, one where certainty and hope melt with the burning sun, yet never fully cease.

LA LAGUNA - 40 min
Set within the rainforests of southern Mexico, LA LAGUNA tells the story of a Mayan boy's remarkable journey from childhood to adolescence. While Yu'uk and his younger brother Jose enjoy a childhood of uncommon freedom in the jungle, Yu'uk's family's problems begin to mount and leaving his village - and his beloved little brother - may be his family's only hope.
