Seminar - Focus: Native American Producers and Impact. The field of media impact has evolved dramatically in the last five years, yet despite the emergence of impact producers in the documentary film sector, and the proliferation of films focused on communities of color, the field remains glaringly homogenous. To address this lack of diversity, Firelight will launch the Impact Producer Fellowship in 2016, the only program of its kind dedicated to recruiting, training and supporting impact producers of color. In this intimate session, Firelight's Director of Partnerships and Engagement will introduce the field of media impact and audience engagement to activists and leaders grounded in communities of color.
