First Friday event: Safe Passage for Wildlife Student Art Contest!
5:00 PM (America/Denver)
Noteworthy Paper and Press
Description:
Students ranging from 1st grade to high school from Missoula and on the Flathead Indian Reservation took part in a student art contest. They created fantastic posters depicting Montana's US Highway 93N wildlife crossing structures - it's time to show them off and announce the poster contest winners! Over 900 students learned about the wide range of wildlife species using the 41 wildlife underpasses and 1 overpass, and 340 poster entries were received in numerous age groups and categories. The art contest was put on by the People's Way Partnership, a coalition of Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes wildlife biologists, US93N wildlife researchers with Western Transportation Institute, and Defenders of Wildlife. Judging was provided by tribal leaders, agency officials, and wildlife researchers.

Refreshments will be available for all ages at this First Friday event! Please bring friends and family!
