The Brink Gallery is pleased to announce the upcoming exhibition I pass by, a series of photographic silkscreens by Pennsylvanian artist, Benjamin Lee Sperry.  
“My work is a conceptual form of photography, it deals with a wide variety of themes ranging from youth and ambition to uncertainty and desire. The work is meant to be a form of visual narrative that evokes feeling from its viewers. I present questions with my work that require a level of audience participation in order to generate any type of answers. I’m always going to tell part of a story with each image, but for that image to really be successful viewers have to draw from within themselves to complete the story.  And this should happen automatically, or almost on a subconscious level. It should be a reaction to viewing. The images are all very personal to me, but they’re always intended to be universal. It is part my goal that everyone be able to take from these images even if they cannot relate to them in the same manner as I do. That’s an aspect of the work that I get really excited about.” (Sperry)
